Felt Flower Clipboard

Every year when it is time for my son to go back to school I struggle trying to find the perfect gift for his teacher. They love school supplies so I decided this year to make something fun and different that I was sure no one else would do for her. I got some awesome dies and felt from Crafter's Companion and decided a clip board with flowers as accents would be perfect!

Here is a list of all the materials I used:
Crafter’s Companion felt in yellow, pink, fuchsia, red and green
Scrapbook paper 12 x 12
Crafter’s Companion glitter fabric
Rose, Peony, and Leaves Metal dies for fabric
Gemini by Crafter's Companion or other die cutting machine

The first step in this project is to pick out some felt or glitter fabric that coordinates with the scrapbook paper you chose. The possibilities are endless. Cut the scrapbook paper around the clip and center it so it is positioned like you want.
Next you will spread a thin coat of modpodge to the front of the clipboard Adhere the scrapbook paper. Then place a thin layer of modpoge on top of the scrapbook paper to seal it.
I found a cute piece of lace in my scrap box to put on the bottom of the clipboard because I felt it just needed a little something else. I also covered the lace with a thin layer of modpodge to seal it and secure it in place.
While the modpodge is starting to dry cut out your flowers using your dies, felt,  and the Gemini or other diecutting machine. Cut out a few leaves to use as a filler in between the flowers. Roll the flowers towards the center and then glue into place. I used Tacky Glue to secure mine. Once all the flowers are rolled adhere the completed flowers to the clipboard top using a strong adhesive. I used E6000. Allow all adhesives to dry overnight before using.
