Recent Colorings

Sorry for the delay in a blog addition but we had a family emergency last week so I was tending to issues. I thought I would just share a little of the coloring I have done in the past month or so since I haven't had much time recently. As I wrote this blog I felt the need to say something about all my links. I am very big on giving credit to the artists. So many awesome coloring pages are stolen so I want to be sure if you see something in my blog you can easily get your hands on a copy or you can know what tools and mediums I used to achieve the look I got.

This one is from Cristin Frey's upcoming revised edition of Sassy Sayings, Snarky Sarcasms, and Saucy swears. This page was colored with my Spectrum Noir Colorista markers which I am in total love with as well as a few BIC marking pens and some Sharpies. This was part of a fun coloring competition with my good friend Kelly Taylor over in the Sassy School of Coloring Facebook page.

I am totally in love with the way this ribbon came out from Maria Castro's book Healthy Hues Coloring Health and Fitness Journal came out. The background was colored with Spectrum Noir Colorista markers and the ribbon was colored with my ultimate favorite Spectrum Noir markers both by Crafter's Companion.

This was my first EVER attempt at Greyscale coloring. I challenged myself with this adorable cutie "Piggy the Squirrel" From the amazing artist Bennett Klein's book Characters. His work is amazing and I look forward to diving into more of his books. This page was colored with my Prismacolor premier pencils.

This awesome mandala was drawn by Rachel Gillham an amazing new up and coming artist from the UK. Her coloring is amazing and I have been a fan for quite some time. She is working on a mandala book but currently her book Plucky Patterns is out now. I colored this one with a blend of BICs, Sharpies, and Ohuhu markers.

I did this one by Shelah Dow as a favor to a friend. I enjoyed it. It is from her book Weirdlings & Wildlings Vol. 2. I colored this with Ohuhu markers and some glitter gel pens.
With my schedule getting back to normal I hope to be having more to show. If you have anything you would like to see me do or any techniques you want to see please let me know! I just got a new tripod so I should be able to do videos a little easier.
